Defender Service Awards 2023

Land Rover recently announced that the Defender Service Awards are returning for 2023. From now until July 21, nonprofit organizations can submit entries.

ABOUT THE DEFENDER SERVICE AWARDS 

For decades, Defender has created legendary vehicles to take service workers on missions to help others, and for the past two years, it’s also been our mission to recognize these selfless organizations with the Defender Service Awards. This year, Land Rover is awarding six customized Defender 130 vehicles to six U.S.  nonprofits that support their communities every day. Category sponsors will award $25,000 to their respective category winner, and each finalist across the six categories will be given $5,000  from Chase and $2,500  from Warner Bros. Discovery to aid in their services.

CALLING LOCAL NONPROFITS

Nonprofit organizations wishing to enter can do so by clicking the learn more button below and by creating a video up to three minutes long that describes the nonprofit work, explains what the group is all about, what needs the charity addresses in your community and how a Defender 130 vehicle will help support your cause. Upload the video and supporting materials here on the Defender website. Qualified judges appointed by Defender will select up to five finalists in each category, then voting will open for the public to choose the winning organizations.

DEFENDER AWARD CATEGORIES:

There are six categories of nonprofits that can enter and these include;

  • Animal, Wildlife & Marine Welfare Award
  • Community Services Award
  • Search, Rescue & Emergency Support Services Award
  • Veteran & Civil Servant Outreach Award
  • Outdoor Accessibility & Education Award
  • Defender Service Honorees
