LAND ROVER ELECTRIC SUV

True to its Land Rover roots and ready for the future. Electric vehicles are becoming very popular in today’s automotive market. Land Rover Hinsdale is ready to make your EV dreams a reality. Currently available are a plug-in hybrid and mild hybrid Range Rover and Range Rover Sport options. And Land Rover is planning for its first all-electric vehicle to be out by 2024. In the next five years, the Land Rover brand plans to welcome six electric cars as it continues to be the front-runner of luxury SUVs through its families of Range Rover Discovery and Defender vehicles.

The two Land Rover platforms will accept battery electric vehicles and electrified gasoline-fueled powertrains. Land Rover plans not to stop at battery electric vehicles. The Land Rover brand aims to achieve net-zero carbon emissions across our supply chain, products, and operations by 2039. We are also preparing for the excepted adoption of clean fuel-cell power in line with a maturing of the hydrogen economy.

With the future of the automotive world demanding better efficiency, Land Rover Plug-in Hybrid vehicles (PHEVs) combine an engine with an electric motor and battery.

Using an external power supply and regenerative braking, a Land Rover PHEV delivers optimum performance and efficiency. The Land Rover PHEV range includes plug-in hybrid electric variants of the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport.

You can pre-order your hybrid Range Rover or Range Rover Sport from Land Rover Hinsdale with all the trim and features you’re looking for in an EV while maintaining the exacting standards of the Land Rover brand.

MILD HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE (MHEV)

MHEV is a mild hybrid system that harvests and stores energy normally lost during vehicle deceleration and intelligently redeploys it to assist the engine. It incorporates an enhanced stop-start system that enables the engine to shut down while the vehicle decelerates to a stop. These features improve vehicle fuel economy.

PLUG-IN HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE (PHEV)

Combines a conventional engine with an electric motor and a battery. A Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) is charged from an external power supply and, using regenerative braking, seamlessly selects and blends the engine and electric motor to deliver optimum performance and efficiency.

HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE (HEV)

Powered by a conventional engine with an electric motor and battery pack to improve efficiency, a Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) charges its battery via regenerative braking.

BATTERY ELECTRIC VEHICLE (BEV)

With no conventional engine, a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) is powered solely by an electric motor with a battery and recharged using a plug-in charge point, delivering permanent pure electric vehicle driving. Charged from an external power supply and using regenerative braking, a BEV achieves zero tailpipe emissions.

2023 LAND ROVER ELECTRIC SUVS

Land Rover recently announced the preview of the 2023 Land Rover Range Rover SV and Plug-in hybrid models. The Range Rover P440e Extended-Range Plug-in Hybrid uses the corporate 3.0-liter turbocharged I6 matched with a plug-in hybrid system that provides up to 48 miles of electric-only range. The PHEV Range Rover is a good alternative for luxury SUV buyers who aren’t ready to jump into full-electric.
