The 2022 Defender V8 is now available at Land Rover Hinsdale. The Defender V8 offers a 2 door version and a 4 door version the 110. The new Defender V8 is the ultimate expression of the Land Rover brand’s toughest 4×4 and recalls the rich heritage of eight-cylinder Land Rover vehicles dating back to the 1970s.
Other changes for 2022 include an available 11.4-inch infotainment screen instead of the standard 10.0-inch unit, along with a standard wireless charging pad for mobile devices, over-the-air update capability, and a navigation system that optimizes route guidance using AI and real-time traffic updates.
The 2022 Land Rover Defender’s Pivi Pro infotainment system sees significant upgrades. The dashboard of the 2022 Defender contains elements of high-tech, like the optional 11.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, along with enough upscale touches to remind its occupants that this is a premium vehicle. The 90 offers an extra jump seat between the two main places up front. The 2022 Defender 90 comes in X-Dynamic SE and X-Dynamic HSE trims for 2022. Every 2022 Defender now carries standard wireless charging.

The EPA’s fuel economy ratings for the various Land Rover Defender models are fairly similar regardless of what’s under the hood. The Defender 90 model with the four-cylinder receives ratings of 18 mpg city and 21 highway. Step up to the six-cylinder engine and the 90’s city rating drops to 17 mpg but the highway rating goes up to 22.
Standard seating configurations in the 2022 Land Rover Defender is five. However, there is an option for six with the optional first row jump seat. The Defender 90 can store up to 15.6 cubic feet behind the second row and up to 58.3 cubic feet with the rear seats flat.
