2016 Land Rover Range Rover
Although the Range Rover has been around since 1948, it was not fully designed for public consumption until 1970. By that time, its manufacturer, British automaker Land Rover, decided to tone down enough of the off-road capabilities of the vehicle to make it suitable for everyday driving. Since then, Land Rover has produced four production cycles of the Range Rover. By far the most popular version of this SUV is the Range Rover Sport. Adding to its off-road prowess and luxurious amenities is a sportiness that makes it more exciting than ever to have on the road. The SUV comes in four trims: SE, SE Td6, HSE, and HSE Td6.

Although the standard engine on the 2016 Range Rover Sport is a 3.0-liter V6, there is a notable difference depending on the trim. The Td6 versions are so named because their engines are turbocharged and consume diesel, while the regular ones are supercharged and consume premium unleaded gasoline. Paired to each engine is an eight-speed automatic transmission with a sequential sport shift. Coupled with its four-wheel drive and next-generation four-corner electronic air suspension, the 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is built to handle almost anything.
A cavernous five-seater, the 2016 Range Rover Sport features a cockpit that has ergonomically designed controls to invoke an engaging and intuitive driving experience. Leather upholstery is standard on the SUV, with power adjustable seats at the front and split-folding seat at the back. Also standard are leather shift knobs and armrests at both rows of seats. Added on the HSE are heating capability on the front seats, as well as dashboard and console wood inserts for extra premium feel.
The 2016 Range Rover Sport is blessed with strong body lines, floating roof, and fast raked windshield angle, which add to its aerodynamic performance and high-level aesthetics. Inside the vehicle is a top-notch eight-speaker stereo system that includes an AM/FM tuner, a CD player with MP3 playback, and controls mounted on the steering wheel. For convenience, Land Rover includes features like an integrated navigation system, remote keyless entry, front and rear beverage holders, fully automatic and delay-off headlights, rear reverse sensing system, and emergency communication system. Front fog lights and garage door transmitters go on the HSE variants, and customers can add a power moon-roof at an extra cost. In addition, the SE rides on 19-inch alloy wheels and tires, while the HSE gets 20-inch ones.
Land Rover understands your safety is significant, and that is why dual-stage driver and passenger seat-mounted side airbags are included in every LR4. The first and second rows are equipped with side impact beams as well as side curtain airbags for added protection. Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Roll Stability Control (RSC) allow you to maintain driver authority in the event of unintentional wheelspin. The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Driveline Traction Control also assist with stability when required. Halogen daytime running headlamps increase the conspicuity of your vehicle while on the road, so you can always drive confidently with the 2016 Land Rover LR4.
